Paul trained as a ballet dancer at the Urdang Academy and at Central School of Ballet, and shortly after graduating he gained a contract as an apprentice with the Bavarian State Ballet in Munich, where he danced in many of the well-known classical ballets and in many operas. After 2 years Paul decided he would prefer to pursue an academic career and returned to the UK to study ecology at King’s College, London. During this time, he continued to perform occasionally with London City Ballet, both on tour and at Sadler’s Wells in London.
Paul has worked as an ecologist and natural resources manager at the Brecon Beacons National Park in Brecon for 19 years. However, he has continued his involvement in theatre with the Westenders Pantomime Society and Mid Wales Dance Academy, where he occasionally teaches the boys classes and the seniors’ classes. Paul is a qualified Gym instructor and is experienced in conditioning training for elite sports.
